Admits it is revolution
Mexican Consul at El Paso telegraphs to
United States Marshal Nolte for more protection.
Special Telegram to the
Express.
El Paso, Texas, june
27.-For the first time since the revolutionary outbreaks in Mexico a
Mexican official today admitted that it was believed a revolution was
being formed here. A. V. Lomeli, Mexican consul in El Paso,
telegraphed United States Marshal Eugene Nolte at San Antonio asking
that more deputies be placed in El Paso to enforce the neutrality
laws.
It is believed here that
the house raided Thursday was the headquarters for the revolutionary
movement and that those in charge here have been directing their
dupes in Mexico.
Immediately after the
filling of Lomeli's telegram to Nolte, J. M. Ruiz, who was arrested
after the raid Thursday and who has been held at the police station,
was arrested by the Federal Government on the charge of violating the
neutrality laws and was committed to jail in default of $1000 ball.
The Mexicans against whom charges have been made in the Federal Court
and who have had their preliminary hearings set for Monday are
Leocardio Trevino, P. G. Silva, B. G. Silva, J. M. Ramirez, Lauro
Aguirre and J. M. Ruiz. Aguirre who is editor of La Fauna Social
here, is the only one who has given bond.
