22 killed at Las Vacas
Greater Part of the Cavalry Horses
Captured by the Revolutionists. Part soldiers' Barracks Burned.

27.-The revolution in Mexico seems to continue, but communication is
still cut off and it is almost impossible to gain accurate
information to present conditions. It is known, however, that
reinforcements reached Las Vacas last night and he town is now in
complete possession of the soldiers.
Eight prisoners are
reported to have been captured this afternoon by the Mexican soldiers
and brought roto the town. lt is also learned that in the first
attack made by the revolutionists a greater part of the cavalry
horst% were captured by the revolutionists. From a man who came over
the river Saturday afternoon for medicines it is learned that in the
first attack, there were killed of soldiers and revolutionists about
twenty-two and a large number are reported wounded. Captain Perez, in
command of the Mexican troops, was wounded three times and is
reported to be in a critical' condition. "The wife of one of the
prominent Mexicans is wounded and is in a serious condition. A child
is also reported to have had its nose shot off.
A pair of the soldiers'
barracks was burned during the assault. Nestor Lopez, who was
reported killed, is now said to be living and in Mexico, as is also
Mecho Galindo. These are supposed to be two of the leaders of the
revolution. It is currently reported and upon good authority, that a
number of the revolutionists are now in Del Rio, having crossed the
river during the night.
The river is being
patrolled and everything is very quiet on this side and no trouble is
anticipated.
